Presenter’s Bio:
Maine’s leading weatherman, WCSH 6, NEWS CENTER’S Kevin Mannix & social worker wife Linda Rota together authored the self-help book, Weathering Shame, about their individual experiences with shame & stigma throughout their childhood and adult lives. The book is a story of their personal experiences surrounding growing up in a home with parental mental illness and alcoholism. Their goal is for readers to benefit from their struggles, raise awareness and to be inspired and encouraged by their personal stories to embark on their own journey to self discovery, recovery, or awareness. Kevin and Linda’s mission is to lead society farther down a path of reducing shame and stigma.
