I have over thirty years of experience providing direct care to parents, children, and adolescents, many of them families involved in the foster care system. I also have experience working with adults and caregivers of all ages. My practice integrates elements of attachment-based therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavior therapy. My clinical perspective is guided largely by positive and developmental psychology. I focus on client strengths to promote resilience. My goal is to help clients to feel more empowered, flexible, and hopeful about their lives. The techniques I use help to calm the mind, deepen self-awareness, and teach practical skills and strategies for coping with stress and change. I treat individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, grief and loss, abuse, trauma, identity issues, relationship problems, and difficulties with behavioral and emotional regulation. I have a special interest in how attachment and trauma experiences affect resilience. I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Vermont College of Norwich University. l am currently providing services by telehealth only.
