Emily Ellis, LCPC, CADC

I provide Telehealth counseling services to adults who are experiencing problems of mild to severe intensity/frequency that are impacting routine functioning.

Areas of Specialty: Interpersonal/family conflicts, problems with communication, making decisions, setting boundaries, self-advocacy, self-esteem, self-expression, setting priorities, work-related stressors, challenges, physical health complications, eating disorders, adjusting to phase of life transitions.

I work in partnership with clients to help them better understand how challenges and conflicts they experience interfere with their daily life. Starting from my person-centered approach, we will explore ways clients can feel more in control of their life and be confident in next steps.  I draw on years of working as a school counselor and in a community setting to assist clients in developing greater self-awareness and healthy coping and communication skills.  I will help clients feel as comfortable as possible in order to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that will help each one clarify and reach his/her goals.

Modalities/Therapeutic Tools Used: Strengths-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI).
