I focus with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population, parents of deaf children, and ASC interpreters, etc. I also can work with the hearing population. I have worked as a boys counselor at a camp, job development coordinator, case Manager, school counselor and I work as a Mental Health Support Specialist at a Deaf Independence (Group) Home. With prior career experience, I have developed perspectives and skills from different deaf settings that help me in clinical counseling. As a conditional counselor, I explore modalities/therapeutic tools in treating disorders. It is my goal to find what modalities/therapeutic skills are effective in my practice and for my clients.
Modalities/Therapeutic Tools Used: Rogerian, Strength Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, DBT and CBT.
Area’s of Expertise: Deaf and Hard of Hearing, cultural conflicts, oppressions, discrimination, bullying, adverse childhood experience, traumas and communication barriers.
Disorders Treated: PTSD, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, ADHD, Mood Disorder, Personality Disorders, Parenting, Major Depression and Oppositional Defiant Disorders.
