Perhaps now more than ever—during such an unprecedented and uncertain time—we need mental health professionals to continue supporting Mainers. We are so grateful for their work. At Health Affiliates Maine, we have been helping our affiliated therapists change how they practice so they can continue seeing their clients.
Many of our affiliates have been able to quickly switch over to the Telehealth model so that they can continue counseling sessions while adhering to social distancing protocols as well as HIPPA privacy requirements. We have also started providing case management services via Telehealth.
At HAM, all of our Supervisions have gone virtual. Our experienced supervisors remain committed to supporting all Health Affiliates Maine mental health professionals.
HAM has a preparedness plan that will allow us to continue serving mental health professionals in their work. The majority of our employees will have the ability to work remotely so we can increase our adherence to social distancing, reduce exposure and mitigate transmission. Our goal is to have limited employees in the building but coverage for every department. We will always have people in the building and every department will be represented. We are here. All of us at HAM can be reached every day by email. Health Affiliates Maine remains open.
Given our new remote work policies, our phone system will need to be switched over to our answering service at 4 pm every day. We encourage affiliates, case managers, and clients to communicate with us via email. You can be assured of a swift response time. Please reach out at any time with questions. We are here for you.
On behalf of everyone at Health Affiliates Maine, we want to thank you for all you are doing during this difficult time as we work together to manage the COVID-19 emergency. Wishing you all good health and wellness today and every day.
